The mountainous area that covers 81% of this area on the plateau offers optinum conditions to cultivate oak mushrooms('Pyogo' in korean) that amounts 50 tons of annual production.
Together with Ginseng, this mushroom is the most wellknown specialty of this area, Jin-an Plateau, in Korea.
On the other hand, the 'Pyogo' mushroom also called as a 'beef on the mountain' due to its nutrition and taste, flavor, furthermore medicinal effects.



In this province traditionally handcrafted goods and techniques have been succeeded over generation to generation for long time.
Among them some products are maintained intensively up-to-date.

Artisans make earhenware out of the plentiful wood and fine clay of the area.
Broken pieces of faded earthenware and heaped clay at an old klin site tell us of the long tradition.
Villagers shape earthenware jars and utensils with their skillful hands
on wooden wheels and fire them with wood.
Earthenware here looks folksy, simple, and perfectly natural,
and allows optimum storage and fermenting.
It's famous and popular because it is believed that it can ward off disease.
